Victoria Gloria (Zuege) Clapper was born on April 11, 1935 to Paul and Johanna Zuege in rural Cheyenne County, Kansas. She passed away September 29, 2026 at the age of 91 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Haigler, NE. She attended school up to 8th grade in rural Cheyenne County, KS. Later on she received her GED. She married the love of her life, Alan Clapper, in Colby, KS on December 29, 1989. Victoria sold AVON for many years. She also worked for the Good Samaritan Village until she retired at the age of 83. Victoria’s pride and joy was her grandson, Michael Hanson. Even though they were both very stubborn, they had a unique bond.

Victoria had a green thumb for house plants and she had many. Her niece, Patricia Ferguson also inherited that green thumb. She loved cats and fed several as she didn’t want them to go hungry. She had a very special bond with her sister Bonnie Doggett. You never knew what those two might do.

Victoria is survived by her daughter, Jackie Ritchey of St. Francis; grandson, Michael Hanson of St. Francis; sister, Bonnie (Leslie) Doggett of St. Francis; niece, Patricia (David) Ferguson of Brush, CO; and their two sons, Dylan of Johnstown, CO and Luke of Manhattan, KS along with several other nieces and nephews. Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Clapper; parents, Paul and Johanna Zuege; two sisters, Clara (Herman) Richers and Delores (Dean) Krien; brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Donna Zweygardt.
