Stanley Lloyd Shrader was born February 4th, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to parents Warren Haskel Shrader and Edna Josephine (James) Shrader. In McCook, Nebraska, on January 12th, 2023, Stanley went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Stanley was named after his father's brother Lloyd Shrader. Throughout childhood and youth, Stan attended all his school years in Bird City, Kansas. He was involved in FFA, 4-H, selected as Homecoming King, and was a running back and backup quarterback in football. While in high school, he was employed at Anderson Grocery Store and Meat Locker and learned about butchering and various operations of the store. He attended Colby Community College for one semester while working as part time as a butcher in a local meat shop, later he advanced to a full time position.

The Colorado Rockies were calling his name, so he moved there and lived in Springfield, Gunnison, and Crested Butte, again working as a butcher and then managing Love's Country Stores. While there he met Susan McDaniel and they were married in Broomfield, Colorado; to this union was born two daughters, Dayna Rae and Amber Kae. In Broomfield, Stan became Owner and General Contractor for his business: Shrader Construction. He designed, built, and remodeled numerous structures. As life took its twists and turns, Stan moved back to Kansas and the to McCook, Nebraska.

As a child, Stan attended church camps at Camp Elim, Woodland Park, Colorado, with his grandmother Ida Nelsen of Bird City, Kansas. This is where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Although many of us go through very difficult times, and perhaps even form some of those rough paths ourselves, deep down Stan never forgot his roots. Stan would often remind his mother of special Christian broadcasts coming on T.V. And in his final weeks, he enjoyed Pastor Jim Gleason stopping in for visits.

Stan is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his father, and step-father. Those who mourn his passing are mother Edna Roesener (Shrader), Bird City, Kansas; daughters Dayna (David and daughter Piper) Jackson, Cleveland, Ohio, and Amber (son Shayde) Shrader, McCook, Nebraska; Jaylene (Lynn) Shrader, Sterling, Kansas; Cathy (Larry) Atkins, Hot Springs, South Dakota; brother Roy (Karen) Shrader, Bird City, Kansas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
