Norris Amanuel Anderson was born February 11th 1930 on the family farm. He was the youngest of four children of Justice and Ethel (Kemp) Anderson. He went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2021, at the age of 91 years.

HIs father's family came from Sweden and homesteaded 21 miles southwest of St. Francis. In the early years they walked to the river and ice skated to town for supplies.

Norris married Doris (Browning) on March 19th 1964. They resided on the farm until 2000 when then moved to St. Francis. In September of 2017 Norris had a stroke so they both moved into the Good Samaritan Village.

He enjoyed riding and raising quarter horses and Angus cattle. They raised and showed Blue and Red Heeler cattle dogs. He also custom swathed and baled hay in the area. He loved when his family got together and roped calves in the afternoon on Sunday. Then, in the evening, they would get out the guitars and the piano to sing all the great songs.

His faith was very important to him. His parents always read from the Bible in the morning before the chores. Norris and Doris continued that practice. His granddaughter Lucinda would read to him while he was in the nursing home.

Proceeding him in death was his wife Doris; a stepson Ned Wolbach, his parents, sisters and their parents, sisters and their husbands, Valetta (Warren) Clemans, Chlores (Ferdinand) Krien, brother and his wife Norvin (Lillan), and great grandson Michael Engelland and a great granddaughter Lindsay Wolbach.

He is survived by step-daughter Sherry (O'Leary) Weeks and husband Dale. Grandchildren Lori Engelland (Brett) of Nickerson, Kansas, Scott Houtman (Sara), Lucinda Staub (Sean) of St. Francis, Laura Richardson (Jeff), Kevin Hannum (Amy) of Greeley, Colorado, Ryan Weeks (June) of Abilene, Kansas, Heather Boyson (Nick) of Bird City, Ricber (Skip) of Burlington, Co, and Kevin Wolbach. Twenty-three great grandchildren and eight greath grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and fiends.
