Allen "Al" Ray Knodel (72) was born March 1, 1952 and died October 15, 2024.  He was the second son of Arthur Ruben and Martha Maria (Lippert) Knodel.  He started his education at Pleasant Hill Country School and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1970.  After graduation he worked for area farmers then attended Kansas University for one year.  Then he moved to Omaha, Nebraska with his roommate and worked construction for 26 years before returning to northwest Kansas where he remained until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ed and his wife Tonya.

He is survied by brothers; Art and his wife Connie, John and his wife Natalie; sister, Joan Knodel.
